OpenWebUI giving users access to the promp tab

Issue

Recently I encountered a question from a user that was switched from a OpenWebUI admin to user, but lost access to the prompts tab.

I googled around but found little, so heres hoping this post surfaces to the top when you ran into the same issue.

Solution

Log in with an admin and go to users, groups, then default permissions

here you enable the right settings as required “knowledge access” and “prompts access” and “tools access”
